About the Role
Lead engineering efforts for core web applications and Chrome extensions, driving technical direction, mentoring developers, and ensuring alignment with product goals and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable web platforms
- Guide development of Chrome extensions with performance and security in mind
- Collaborate with product managers to define technical requirements
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Establish best practices for frontend and backend web development
- Ensure code quality through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize web applications for speed, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Drive adoption of modern JavaScript frameworks and tooling
- Oversee technical debt reduction and architectural improvements
- Coordinate with UX designers to implement intuitive user interfaces
- Manage incident response and debugging for production issues
- Lead sprint planning and technical backlog refinement
- Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs and services
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Promote reuse of components and design systems across teams
- Support deployment strategies including canary releases and rollbacks
- Monitor application performance using observability tools
- Champion engineering best practices across the product team
- Work closely with QA to define test strategies
- Contribute to technical documentation and system runbooks
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across engineering teams
- Evaluate emerging web technologies for potential adoption
- Ensure accessibility standards are met across all web interfaces
- Drive improvements in developer experience and tooling
- Maintain alignment with long-term product vision
