About the Role
This position involves leading the design and implementation of advanced systems using large language models and generative AI technologies. Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction of generative AI and LLM-based product development
- Design and implement scalable backend systems for AI model deployment
- Collaborate with research teams to transition prototypes into production
- Mentor engineers working on AI integration and infrastructure
- Evaluate and select appropriate AI frameworks and tools
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security
- Lead code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices
- Drive architectural decisions for AI-powered features
- Work closely with product teams to define technical requirements
- Optimize inference pipelines for efficiency and cost
- Oversee model monitoring and observability in production
- Manage technical debt in AI-related codebases
- Coordinate with data scientists on model training workflows
- Implement CI/CD pipelines tailored for AI components
- Stay current with advancements in LLM and generative AI research
- Translate research concepts into practical engineering solutions
- Support deployment of fine-tuned and custom language models
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and AI ethics standards
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed AI systems
- Contribute to long-term roadmap planning for AI capabilities
Nice to Have
- PhD or advanced degree in computer science or related field
- Publications or contributions in AI or NLP research
- Experience with reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF)
