Responsibilities
- Foster a culture that prioritizes student growth and well-being
- Understand each student's academic abilities, strengths, and individual needs
- Develop strong, trust-based relationships with families
- Create a classroom environment where students feel valued, seen, and secure
- Ensure a consistent and efficiently managed daily routine
- Deliver daily small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math for grades K–2
- Lead daily literacy instruction, support students using a digital math program, and collaborate with math specialists to advance student learning for grades 3–8
- Track each student’s progress, mastery level, and learning challenges in math and literacy
- Effectively use the school’s digital operations system to monitor progress and support daily operations
- Lead high-quality interdisciplinary learning sessions focused on real-world application
- Adhere to a structured daily schedule and keep students engaged and on task
- Analyze and act on student performance data on a weekly basis
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences at regular intervals throughout the year
- Assist in admissions by hosting campus tours for prospective families
- Provide frequent updates about classroom activities to families and staff
- Engage in daily team check-ins and weekly communication routines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and learning-focused classroom space
- Enforce student adherence to school-wide routines and dress code
- Follow all safety protocols, including emergency preparedness drills and incident reporting
- Respond quickly to operational tasks and internal workflows
- Communicate proactively with parents and colleagues
- Seek clarification early and avoid making assumptions
- Work collaboratively with staff for coverage and problem resolution
- Accept and apply feedback in a constructive manner
- Model calm, consistent behavior that contributes positively to the school environment
