Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Talent Development Specialist to support our commitment to continuous learning and employee growth. In this role, you will help develop, implement, and support training programs that enhance employee skills across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and development of curricula and learning initiatives to meet employee skill needs.
- Assist with developing effective training strategies.
- Assess learning impacts and develop appropriate metrics to track and report to leadership.
- Apply knowledge of talent development platforms to author and deploy engaging training.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest advances in training and development.
- Facilitate live new hire orientation and execute improvements proactively.
- Develop communications to increase interest in training opportunities.
- Support recommendations for targeted training opportunities for high potentials and develop programs for these populations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training and Development, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in training, learning & development, or related fields.
- Experience as a Human Resources Training Specialist or in a similar learning and development role.
- Skilled at designing, developing, and authoring training, including content outside your own expertise.
- Experience with instructional design principles and workflow, including communicating design trade-offs with SMEs.
- Proficiency in training content development tools such as Articulate 360 suite or Adobe Creative Cloud software.
- Experience or capability to work within the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS), including pulling reports, assigning training, and tracking completion.
- Strong analytical skills to assess learning effectiveness, needs, and opportunities.
- Experience with facilitating training development projects to ensure delivery on time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications in learning design, development, or evaluation (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).
- Experience or coursework in graphic design and authoring/editing visuals, graphics, or video for training products.

Team & Environment
You will collaborate closely with HR leadership, department heads, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and design effective learning solutions.
