Responsibilities
- Lead system sustainment and maintenance activities for assigned platforms, driving maximum operational readiness, availability, and reliability.
- Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventative maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures for mission‑critical systems and subsystems.
- Support readiness planning and execution for field deployments and flight operations, ensuring systems are properly configured, calibrated, and tested.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system‑level issues, performing hands-on diagnostics, directing corrective actions, and documenting root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate configuration and service records within asset management databases to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Coordinate system aircraft integration and installation, supporting local flight operations, testing, and calibration.
- Contribute and maintain system technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and operational checklists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- 2-7 years of experience supporting, maintaining, or sustaining complex technical systems in operational, fielded, or mission-critical environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating maintenance or technical support activities.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and integrated system-level issues.
- Ability to perform structured root cause analysis and document findings and corrective actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical issues and brief stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to support field deployments, test events, or flight/operational activities as required.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across engineering, operations, and logistics teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, sensors, or similar high-reliability systems preferred.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance planning methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of configuration management processes and tools preferred.
- Experience supporting system integration, verification, and acceptance testing preferred.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, deployment-oriented or test-driven environments preferred.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and suppliers on technical issues, maintenance activities, and system support preferred.
