As a Systems Engineer in the Ecosystem team at Canva, you will be a key technical contributor in shaping the infrastructure for system integrations, with a focus on Second-Party (2P) integrations. You'll collaborate with internal teams and product groups to design scalable solutions, define system requirements, and support Canva’s growing ecosystem of integrations and developer partners.
What You'll Do
- Become a go-to expert in Canva’s Infrastructure for System Integrations, helping shape the direction and technical foundation of our 2P integrations.
- Collaborate with internal developer partners, across Systems Integrations, IT, and more, to co-design solutions that balance user needs with the capabilities of our integration platform.
- Partner closely with product teams across the Ecosystem supergroup to understand the product landscape and influence roadmaps with technical insight.
- Define robust system and interface requirements for Second-Party (2P) integrations, translating business and operational goals into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Craft clear and accessible technical documentation, including reference architectures, best practices, white papers, and solution briefs.
- Build and maintain incident response processes and documentation for apps built through our third-party ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
- Firmly grounded in computer science and engineering fundamentals and have experience developing web applications.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud platform configurations, preferably in AWS.
- Experience working with infrastructure for system integration.
- 3+ years of experience in system engineering, system architecture, or an equivalent technical role.
- Excel at technical troubleshooting in an Enterprise SaaS environment.
- Demonstrate a strong customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor.
- Communicate effectively and confidently, especially in written form.
- Have hands-on experience using AI in your work to drive greater impact.

- Experience with Azure or GCP (as a bonus).
