Grantek Systems Integration is seeking a Systems Designer to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing real-time automation and information solutions, from initial concept through programming, testing, and commissioning at client sites. You’ll join a mentoring program to work directly with senior professionals, learn new technologies, and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing.
What You'll Do
- Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions.
- Conceptualize solutions during the design phase of the project life cycle.
- Conduct system programming, debugging, and testing.
- Create documentation, including project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability, and case studies.
- Commission new solutions at client sites and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Develop methodologies and solve complex problems.
- Continuously learn new technologies.
- Mentor colleagues by sharing your expertise and knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- Successful completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology degree.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with the technologies listed in the Technical Stack.
- A meticulous, conscientious, analytical, and focused self-starter who learns quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and full-time access to a personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% throughout North America.

- System Networking: Ethernet, Routing and Switching, EthernetIP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, DH+, Remote IO, Modbus, etc.
- HMI Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Schneider Electric, etc.
- SCADA Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, Wonderware, GE, Siemens, etc.
- Servo Motion Control: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Omron, etc.
- Vision Platforms: Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.
- MES Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Sepasoft, Wonderware, etc.
- High-level Programming: C#, HTML5, .NET, Cloud, SQL, VB, VBA, etc.
- Database Platforms: Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
- Operating Systems: Microsoft (current and legacy to NT), Unix, Linux, etc.
- Project Documentation: Microsoft Office.
