Netcompany is looking for a System Administrator to join our team in Belgium. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's Data centre hardware and software infrastructure, solving system-related problems, and ensuring system integrity and security. You'll be part of a community of 600+ tech enthusiasts working on international projects, primarily within the European Institutions market.
What You'll Do
- Investigate, diagnose and solve system related problems.
- Install and upgrade infrastructure software, including monitoring solutions and perform test upgrades.
- Install, maintain and support the organization's Data centre hardware infrastructure (Servers, enclosure, UPS, patch panel, tape library, cabling, etc.).
- Schedule installation work to minimize disruption.
- Monitor, diagnose and solve hardware or software problems.
- Comply with organizational procedures to ensure integrity and security of the system.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Computer Science or other relevant field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Data centre hardware infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows/Linux server operating systems.
- Expertise of hypervisor solutions (VMWare/Hyper-V).
- Proficiency with network storage (SAN/NAS, NetApp/EMC).
- Experience with central backup, racking, cabling, connecting hardware in data centres.
- Skills in advanced troubleshooting and ability to work independently.
