Responsibilities
- Advise and guide comprehensive market and patient access strategies to support pipeline and inline assets in maximizing brand value.
- Build, manage, and oversee a team of subject matter experts in market access, including coverage, coding, payment, pricing, contracting, distribution, and patient support.
- Oversee analysis of qualitative and quantitative research on market access stakeholders to derive actionable insights.
- Ensure integration of Access Marketing Advisory strategy with Marketing strategy, including stakeholder personas, strategy maps, brand plans, positioning, and messaging.
- Oversee and contribute to the creation and execution of access marketing solutions and tactics that enhance brand performance.
- Facilitate and lead workshops, training sessions, launch meetings, and other key client events.
- Integrate and maintain fluency between Advisory and Marketing disciplines within a matrixed organization.
- Grow the access marketing offer by leading Advisory strategy for RFPs, identifying organic growth, and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Establish the Access Marketing Advisory strategy team as department head by building talent, managing resources, and mentoring team members in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Lead collaboratively with account, medical, and creative partners on access marketing strategy delivery.
- Deliver thought leadership through articles, podcasts, and monitoring key market events affecting stakeholder attitudes and behaviors.
- Build and grow an external network of strategic partners for collaboration and consultation.
- Be flexible with travel up to 20-30% of time as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 15+ years of strategic planning or marketing experience, preferably in market access, payer marketing, or managed markets agency settings.
- In-depth experience leading strategy for market access, patient access, or access marketing across pre-launch, launch, mature, and portfolio brands.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, cross-discipline environment as a working leader with a proactive mindset.
- Highly skilled as an interdisciplinary thinker, strategic problem-solver, and focused business leader.
- Curious strategist who stays updated on the evolving healthcare landscape and encourages clients to challenge norms.
- Seamlessly balances collaboration and independent work.
- Proven track record in building, leading, and inspiring teams while upholding organizational culture.
- Crisp and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly adept at translating technical content into strategy that informs compelling storytelling and creative work.
