Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end assistance throughout the surgical process, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and operating room environments prior to procedures
- Offer real-time support to physicians during surgical interventions as required
- Confirm patient identity, planned procedure, and correct surgical site within the operating room
- Ensure all medications and fluid solutions, including tumescent, are accurately labeled and identified
- Uphold sterile protocols and clean surgical tools and rooms according to standards
- Instruct patients and caregivers on surgical processes, medication use, and discharge guidelines
- Assist with patient discharge procedures and conduct post-operative follow-up calls
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and review patient records for accuracy
