About the Role
The Success Coach works directly with teachers and school leaders to implement effective literacy instruction, using observation, feedback, and collaborative planning to strengthen classroom practices in both English and Spanish RLA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing coaching to educators in reading, language arts, and Spanish language arts
- Support implementation of evidence-based instructional practices
- Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback
- Collaborate with school teams to analyze student data
- Lead professional development sessions for teachers and leaders
- Build strong relationships with educators and administrators
- Model effective teaching strategies in bilingual and dual-language classrooms
- Assist schools in aligning instruction with curriculum standards
- Track progress toward instructional goals
- Promote equitable learning environments
- Troubleshoot challenges in curriculum implementation
- Support educators in differentiating instruction for diverse learners
- Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies
- Encourage use of formative assessment techniques
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Coordinate with district leadership on program goals
- Maintain accurate coaching records and reports
- Participate in team planning and professional learning
- Stay current with literacy education research and trends
- Travel regularly to schools across Texas
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
- Support dual-language and bilingual education models
- Address language development needs of emergent bilingual students
- Promote academic language development in content areas
- Encourage family and community engagement in literacy
