Responsibilities
- Evaluate client strengths, substance abuse issues, mental health needs, and biopsychosocial histories
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance abuse recovery
- Perform crisis assessments and interventions as needed
- Connect clients with community resources including AA and other recovery support services
- Create individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and requirements
- Document all services provided and maintain accurate records according to agency standards
Requirements
- CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T, or CCIT certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with culturally diverse and dual-diagnosed populations
- Valid Georgia driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Clean criminal background check with no evidence of abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation of children or adults
