Design and implement test setups to validate the structural integrity of primary and secondary aircraft structures, primarily composites, by collaborating with design teams to understand aircraft load and operating conditions.
Create comprehensive test plans, procedures, instrumentation plans, test stand and fixture designs, and data acquisition systems to ensure thorough and repeatable testing of specimens.
Analyze test data to produce reports that provide quantitative feedback to engineering teams for design optimization.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
0 to 2 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with servohydraulic actuators and controllers, preferably Moog.
Ability to perform hands-on testing, including setting up and executing tests with hardware and data acquisition systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Solid analytical background.
Experience using sensors such as strain gauges, potentiometers, and accelerometers, including installation.
Flexibility to work periodic hours based on test execution needs and timelines.

Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
More than 2 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with FAA aircraft certification processes.
Experience in industrial test laboratory environments and procedures.
Proficiency with Dassault Systemes CATIA, including Generative Shape Design, Part Design, and Assembly Design.
Experience with advanced instrumentation such as Digital Image Correlation and Fiber Optic strain measurement.
Hands-on machine shop skills including lathe, mill, welder, and other equipment.
Aircraft homebuilding or rapid prototyping experience is a plus.
