AECOM is hiring a Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Perform advanced structural analysis and design calculations for complex structures.
  • Develop and review structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Develop project/task proposals and assist with project invoicing.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and standards.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
  • Utilize advanced structural analysis software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovative structural engineering practices.
  • Collecting and analyzing field data.
  • Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performing work by agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Travel to other states for fieldwork on 1 to 3-day trips, accounting for up to 20% of the overall time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Four years of experience in the Structural Engineering field
  • Technical expertise in structural design codes
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting project schedules
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, RAM Elements, Revit, etc.

Work Arrangement

On-site — Albuquerque, New Mexico

Additional Information
