About the Role
This role leads the structural engineering function for water and wastewater infrastructure, managing design standards, project execution, and technical mentorship while supporting business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering teams on complex water and wastewater projects
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Oversee development and review of structural calculations and construction documentation
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers during integrated design phases
- Provide technical direction for pump stations, treatment facilities, and underground structures
- Manage structural aspects of seismic and flood-resistant infrastructure
- Support project delivery from concept through construction and commissioning
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development initiatives
- Develop and maintain structural design guidelines and best practices
- Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize structural solutions
- Coordinate with contractors and construction teams during field implementation
- Ensure adherence to quality management procedures across all deliverables
- Contribute to risk assessments and constructability reviews
- Promote the use of sustainable materials and resilient design principles
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and technical submissions
