Endava is hiring a Strategic Business Development Director - Banking / Capital Markets

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the business development team to meet individual and sector-specific goals.
  • Cultivate professional growth within the team by guiding skill development and defining clear career pathways for each report.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape and implement the industry's strategic direction.
  • Ensure consistent application of company sales methodologies, including the Business Winning Model and Client Growth Model, across all team activities.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture that reflects core organizational values and prioritizes diversity.
  • Design and refine a global market entry strategy tailored to the industry, addressing key challenges with targeted solutions.
  • Oversee the pipeline of emerging opportunities and maintain structured sales cycles to advance active pursuits.
  • Drive the creation of order backlog and sales pipeline to support long-term revenue and margin expansion, actively nurturing account-level opportunities.
  • Partner with global client leaders and industry advisors to sharpen strategic focus within banking and capital markets.
  • Collaborate with client-facing directors to accelerate growth in current client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strategic industry relationships to position the company as a leading player in banking and capital markets.
  • Deepen personal knowledge of sector dynamics, trends, and pain points to serve as a recognized subject matter expert.
  • Utilize the full breadth of organizational capabilities to strengthen client trust and regional influence.
  • Act as the principal advisor for all new business initiatives, including acquiring new clients and expanding within existing ones.
  • Lead complex, high-value negotiations to secure advantageous contractual terms.
  • Make strategic commercial choices that balance growth objectives with profitability.
  • Address and resolve intricate client and contract challenges in alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Maintain reliable forecasting, budgeting, and financial projections, adjusting as business conditions evolve.
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance policies and secure necessary approvals across processes.
  • Manage sales spending according to approved financial plans, aligning investment with anticipated returns.
  • Uphold compliance with governance, internal rules, and regulatory requirements, verifying approval gate adherence across the team.
  • Integrate key strategic initiatives into client engagements to deliver on long-term objectives.
  • Promote a high-performance culture rooted in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity in systems and enforce disciplined reporting standards.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports for the industry sector to senior leadership in coordination with global counterparts.
