RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for day-to-day DASD and Backup management on mainframe.
- Perform trending reports related to DASD management.
- Define new alias to appropriate catalogs, and update tables when required.
- Knowledge on how catalogs are created
- Provide problem resolution associated with JCL, job abends, data retrieval/ recovery and perform root cause analysis.
- Day-to-day support activities include: volume backup & recovery, data movement, catalog management & maintenance. These activities accomplished through the use of DFHSM, DFSMS, DFDSS, FDR/ABR, CA-Vantage, CA1 or CA-TLMS software.
