Responsibilities
- Collaborate on modernizing systems by designing and applying patterns to migrate domains from legacy monoliths without service interruption.
- Define and maintain the architectural roadmap for decommissioning legacy systems, establishing design standards and guiding principles for broader engineering teams.
- Amplify team effectiveness by mentoring mid and senior engineers, conducting design reviews, and deepening collective technical expertise.
- Develop new services and support migration efforts from GO to Spring, while engaging with multiple codebases across the system.
- Work closely with product managers to refine requirements, understand underlying goals, and influence roadmaps that balance innovation with technical debt reduction.
- Communicate clearly across distributed teams and time zones, relying on strong written documentation and asynchronous collaboration methods.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using Grafana and distributed tracing tools to maintain backend stability.
- Improve development speed by applying AI-assisted coding tools to automate routine refactoring, freeing focus for complex challenges.
