Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable video pipeline components including ingestion, transcoding, storage, and playback across mobile, web, and backend systems as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape the long-term technical roadmap for video capabilities as the platform grows and evolves.
- Collaborate with mobile, web, machine learning, and platform engineers on complex, end-to-end improvements to the video processing infrastructure.
- Conduct code and architecture reviews, provide technical feedback, and support peers through pair programming and hands-on guidance.
- Develop and maintain internal SDKs, frameworks, and tools that simplify video integration for product teams across various pipeline stages.
- Build real-time observability and monitoring systems for video workflows, and participate in an on-call rotation to support production issues.
- Mentor, train, and assist in hiring and onboarding engineers working on video and live-streaming technologies.
- Be available for occasional off-hours support through a shared on-call schedule to ensure system reliability.
