Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical strategy and architectural roadmap for frontend platforms on web and mobile using React and React Native
- Develop and maintain shared infrastructure including design systems, component libraries, state management, routing, build tools like Vite, and testing frameworks
- Enhance developer productivity through optimized workflows in CI/CD, linting, type safety, code generation, and code review processes
- Monitor platform health with actionable metrics and observability practices
- Lead accessibility initiatives by enforcing WCAG standards across all frontend layers
- Establish and maintain internationalization and right-to-left layout support across the codebase
- Collaborate with backend teams to design and refine GraphQL APIs served by Python-based services, contributing backend code when necessary
- Build reusable, high-performance systems for complex user interfaces on web and mobile
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR through secure coding practices and architecture decisions
- Lead cross-functional, ambiguous, or large-scale projects in partnership with design, product, and engineering teams
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, unit tests, and integration tests
- Guide engineering direction through thought leadership, participation in cross-team forums, and technical mentorship
