TwelveLabs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend to join our Product Engineering team. You will build and refine high-performance user interfaces that allow users to interact with our AI video understanding models, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure a seamless user experience.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of responsive frontend systems using modern frameworks like React and Next.js.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers to implement user-centric design solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to seamlessly integrate frontend components for an intuitive user experience.
What We're Looking For
- Ten+ years of experience thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in frontend development.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, react-query, and TypeScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating within a cross-disciplinary team.
Nice to Have
- Comfortable using CSS frameworks like Tailwind and component libraries like Material UI to build responsive websites.
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma and experience working with an in-house design team.
- Unit testing with tools like jest and react-testing-library.
- Familiarity with REST and API design.
- Prior work experience in enterprise-level products.
- Understanding of SDLC and familiarity with frontend infrastructure like CI/CD, build tooling, caching, and optimization.
