Zus Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Acquisition Team. In this senior technical role, you will be instrumental in designing and building the core systems responsible for acquiring, processing, and making health data accessible.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, and implement high-throughput, scalable data acquisition pipelines.
- Lead technical projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
- Establish and advocate for engineering best practices, standards, and patterns.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to solve complex data integration challenges.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on the team.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend/data systems.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and owning large-scale, distributed data processing systems.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following: data pipeline orchestration, API design, ETL/ELT processes, or data quality tooling.
- Strong proficiency in a modern programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or C#.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive technical strategy and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be based in and authorized to work in the United States.
