Responsibilities
- Develop and expand backend services and APIs that support core financial operations such as payments, billing, settlements, and transaction tracking.
- Lead the design and growth of fault-tolerant, highly available platforms that accurately manage high-volume financial transactions with full auditability.
- Offer technical direction on distributed systems, data consistency, transaction integrity, and long-term platform planning.
- Own the full lifecycle of key initiatives, from technical design and development to deployment and operational performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and engineering teams to build scalable and compliant financial solutions.
- Create integrations with external payment gateways, banks, card networks, and financial service providers.
- Design reliable workflows for ledgers, settlements, and reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy across systems.
- Promote engineering best practices including observability, automated testing, CI/CD, reliability, and secure coding standards.
- Mentor team members to elevate technical standards and cultivate a culture of ownership and excellence.
- Maintain and operate critical financial systems in production under strict requirements for uptime, security, compliance, and performance.
- Contribute to the advancement of service-oriented and event-driven architectures, APIs, message queues, and scalable financial infrastructure.
- Balance direct coding with architectural oversight to ensure fast delivery while preserving system maintainability.
