Aledade is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, AI Data Engineering to architect and implement the data infrastructure that powers our AI initiatives. You will be responsible for building scalable, reliable systems to process and deliver data for machine learning models and analytics.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for AI and machine learning applications
- Architect data models and storage solutions optimized for analytics and model training
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets
- Establish data governance, quality, and observability standards across the AI data lifecycle
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on data engineering best practices
What We're Looking For
- Substantial professional experience in data engineering, with a focus on building systems for AI/ML workloads
- Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed data processing systems
- Deep knowledge of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and modern data lake/ lakehouse architectures
- Proven ability to write high-quality, maintainable code in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud data services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration
