Responsibilities

Establish a long-term technical roadmap for the business unit that aligns with organizational goals
Architect and maintain high-performance microservices with strict requirements for uptime, speed, and monitoring
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver new capabilities across all business domains
Explain intricate system designs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Coordinate with engineering groups company-wide to identify recurring challenges and promote effective solutions
Lead experimentation efforts, including test design, analysis, and data-driven decision-making for product rollouts
Evaluate technical debt and make informed decisions on refactoring, replacement, or maintenance, while aligning the team
Mentor and support the professional growth of fellow engineers
Work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to shape feature development and realistic delivery schedules
Participate in a balanced on-call schedule to support system reliability
Ensure high standards of code quality across current applications
Build reusable tools and frameworks that improve team productivity and velocity
Advocate for and integrate AI-powered development tools, from coding assistants to automated workflows, and help set best practices
Develop deep expertise in the team's core systems and serve as a go-to technical authority
