Responsibilities
- Build and manage platform infrastructure to support deployment and monitoring of AI-powered scientific tools for both internal teams and external collaborators
- Set up secure network policies and identity controls, managing access across numerous AI and autonomous agent applications
- Create and oversee robust, enterprise-level Kubernetes clusters designed for high availability and fault tolerance
- Configure intelligent compute scaling systems that dynamically adjust resources based on real-time demands from intensive and streaming workloads
- Manage service mesh frameworks to enable secure inter-service communication with encrypted traffic, traffic shaping, and failure resilience
- Develop and sustain high-throughput proxy layers for large-scale AI model coordination and tool orchestration
- Collaborate with researchers across diverse scientific domains to deliver intuitive, effective computing platforms for AI integration
- Enhance efficiency and resource usage in both application workflows and backend systems
- Partner with teams to refine cloud spending and AI infrastructure budgeting, promoting cost-effective resource distribution
- Increase system dependability through automated testing, deployment pipelines, and continuous integration practices
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for development workflows and operational procedures
Compensation
Cambridge UK salary ranges £97,300 to £128,000
