PadSplit is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer (Fully Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the technical vision for platform scalability, reliability, and long-term infrastructure growth.
  • Lead architectural design and evaluation of complex systems to support expanding business requirements.
  • Set engineering standards, technical practices, and reusable patterns across engineering teams.
  • Own platform reliability by advancing monitoring, incident response, and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leadership to align technology initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical coaching to grow engineering talent across the organization.
  • Develop and enhance backend systems, infrastructure tools, and shared platform services.
  • Proactively identify and address technical debt, scalability challenges, and operational risks.
