About the Role
This is a senior individual contributor position for a domain expert in mobile engineering who will lead complex technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and shape the mobile platform used by over a million weekly users. The role involves deep collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data teams to advance architectural standards and drive innovation through AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Shape the long-term technical direction and system design for the mobile platform using React Native across iOS and Android.
- Investigate and advocate for AI-enhanced development tools, on-device intelligence, and personalized user experiences in mobile workflows.
- Lead the full lifecycle of mobile app strategy, including architecture, infrastructure, performance optimization, and release processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between mobile, backend, product, design, and data teams to align on goals and execution.
- Define and uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, monitoring, and mobile-specific best practices organization-wide.
- Support and develop engineers at all levels through code reviews, architectural mentorship, and technical leadership.
- Improve app stability, speed, and release quality through robust CI/CD, crash tracking, and staged deployment methods.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define the mobile roadmap and translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve systemic obstacles that hinder development speed or degrade user experience.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence through documentation, knowledge sharing, and inclusive team practices.
