OKX is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning models for risk-related applications including fraud detection, account security, scam identification, transaction oversight, promotional misuse, and customer risk profiling.
  • Manage full lifecycle production ML systems, covering feature engineering, model training, deployment, decision integration, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with risk and product teams to operationalize models into actionable risk controls such as approvals, denials, reviews, cooldowns, limit changes, and account restrictions.
  • Engage with risk operations to understand case workflows, integrate feedback, enhance model interpretability, and refine training datasets and labeling processes.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including LLM-based coding assistants, to accelerate engineering tasks while upholding security and code review standards.
  • Create AI-driven risk solutions such as automated investigation tools, case summaries, evidence aggregation, review suggestions, alert prioritization, entity analysis, and decision support systems.
  • Transition experimental models from research to robust production environments by validating features, ensuring data integrity, optimizing for latency and scale, and aligning offline and online behavior.
  • Ensure models and decision logic are transparent, traceable, and thoroughly documented for use by operations, product teams, governance, and regulatory bodies.
  • Design and deploy LLM-powered agents to support risk investigations, including case routing, evidence gathering, transaction evaluation, alert summarization, and action recommendations.
  • Build scalable, production-ready agent systems using tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow orchestration, structured outputs, memory management, safety controls, and human oversight.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks for LLM agents to assess accuracy, task success, consistency, speed, cost, user acceptance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Guarantee safe operation of LLM agents in regulated environments through access controls, audit trails, data privacy, prompt security, fallback protocols, and escalation procedures.
