Mercury Insurance is hiring a Staff Guidewire Engineer(PolicyCenter)

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality code for complex scenarios with thorough test coverage.
  • Analyze and convert product requirements into robust designs for distributed applications that are modular, configurable, reusable, fast, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Oversee design and code reviews across multiple applications to enforce best practices, company standards, and quality.
  • Guide multiple sprint teams within a product area to deliver new or enhanced features, resolving obstacles to ensure high-quality solutions for backlog items.
  • Work with other teams and stakeholders as needed to ensure successful delivery of intended functionality.
  • Mentor and offer technical guidance to engineers across teams in the same functional area, promoting innovation and excellence within the engineering organization.
  • Partner with product managers to estimate effort, prioritize tasks, plan, and deliver prioritized roadmap items.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • 7 or more years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • 5 or more years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • 3 or more years of experience with system design.
  • 2 or more years of experience with AWS or related cloud technologies.
