What You'll Do
Guide the evolution of complex, interconnected systems by shaping long-term technical vision across multiple engineering domains. You'll ensure architectures are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with growing business demands while staying actively involved in coding, infrastructure decisions, and design reviews.
Bridge gaps between technical and non-technical teams by enabling seamless data flow across marketing, analytics, operations, and product functions. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine the technology stack, improving capabilities in reporting, data governance, and site performance. You'll also play a key role in strengthening team expertise—especially in Ruby on Rails—through hands-on mentorship and thoughtful code feedback.
Contribute directly to feature development and critical bug fixes, ensuring high system quality through rigorous testing and validation. As a technical advisor, you'll apply first-principles thinking to solve complex challenges and drive innovation across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software development experience with a strong focus on systems architecture and hands-on implementation
- Proven track record building and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications for 8+ years
- Experience designing and documenting APIs and integrating third-party services
- Background in cloud-based SaaS development using AWS, with familiarity in Agile and test-driven development practices
- Experience leading end-to-end projects and mentoring software engineers
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to balance big-picture goals with technical precision
- Problem-solving approach rooted in understanding root causes and first principles
- Solid experience building web applications at scale
