Marvell Semiconductor Inc. is hiring a Staff Engineer to focus on the HDD and SSD electronics markets. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of HDD software features and Common Service APIs, working within a collaborative and transparent environment.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and define HDD functions and feature requirements.
- Design, implement, and optimize HDD Software features and Common Service API features.
- Perform failure analysis using various tools and equipment.
- Pilot HDD key feature implementation, integration, and performance optimization.
- Pilot HDD Software continuous improvement or refactor.
- Work across teams/sites for requirement analysis, qualification strategies, and emergency problem solving.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in infrastructure software development in software defined storage, high-speed networking, HDD, or accelerator device drivers.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, digital design, or control systems.
- Extensive C/C++ and VC++ programming experience in embedded system development.
- Hands-on experience in ARM based board bring-up and HW driver development.
- Experience with algorithm and data structure design.
- Strong capability in legacy C code learning and refactoring.
- Good design documentation and presentation capability.
- Solid knowledge of Gtest, Git, Gerrit, Python, JIRA, and wiki.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Systems Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Visual Studio Development.
- Experience with HDD functioning, Matlab development, and Python Automation.
- Experience with Windows based simulation system design.
- Experience with Linux system development environment.
- Master's degree or above.
