Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is hiring a Staff Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage data platform infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
  • Operate and enhance the Databricks environment to ensure global scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead technical architecture decisions for data systems, focusing on long-term scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data producers, consumers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Monitor and resolve technical issues related to the Databricks platform in a timely manner.
  • Keep current with emerging trends in big data, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices to inform platform improvements.

Compensation

Full-time positions include base salary, eligibility for an annual performance bonus, and eligibility for equity. Benefits are tailored to the local market.
