Twist Bioscience is hiring a Staff Commodity Business Manager

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategic sourcing plans for key commodities, with a focus on life sciences sectors.
• Negotiate master supply agreements with critical vendors, covering pricing, supply terms, service levels, and quality standards.
• Design supplier selection strategies tailored to specific categories including plastic components, packaging materials, manufacturing chemicals, and capital equipment distribution.
• Lead the preparation and management of requests for information and proposals, including bid assessment and vendor evaluation.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and apply mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and reduce reliance on sole or single-source suppliers.
• Foster long-term strategic sourcing relationships and build collaborative partnerships with key suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
• Adhere to quality management standards, including regulatory requirements and ISO 13485 guidelines.
