Responsibilities
- Lead the operation and maintenance of secure, resilient cloud environments using AWS and native cloud technologies, applying layered security controls to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Protect cloud-native applications by automating security testing, monitoring runtime behavior, and embedding security into development workflows, with attention to containers, serverless, and virtual machines.
- Safeguard cloud workloads and data across containerized, virtualized, and serverless platforms using encryption, access management, and data loss prevention without compromising performance.
- Strengthen security across cloud platforms with specialized focus on Kubernetes, including secure container runtimes, network policies, secret management, and scalable threat resistance.
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to build secure platforms, guiding secure Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and deployment practices across the development lifecycle.
- Build automated security solutions to streamline operations, reduce manual intervention, and enforce consistent security through reusable, secure infrastructure templates.
- Support security incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, and recovery, in coordination with internal and external parties.
- Ensure cloud systems meet compliance requirements for SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST through automated checks, governance policies, and reporting to uphold data integrity.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a security-first culture by promoting cloud security best practices and integrating them into organizational processes.
