Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust API services to support our rapidly growing European customer base.
- Lead architecture designs and product roadmap creation.
- Research and drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
- Analyse and dive deep into a complex and powerful ecosystem, understanding requirements, determining optimal approaches and driving change.
- Mentor, coach, and empower other engineers, contributing to an inclusive and high-performing team culture.
- Amplify your technical ability by empowering your peers and contributing to code reviews and technical designs.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers and stakeholders, in line with our company values outlined below.

Requirements
- Extensive experience in software development, including building backend services in a professional environment.
- Deep and expert knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and make significant contributions to the architecture of complex, distributed systems.
- Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems.
- Rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Curious person, who enjoys digging deep into requirements and handling complexity.
- Track record of amplifying your impact by mentoring other engineers and collaborating effectively within a team of senior peers.
- Experience building services with Java, SQL and AWS.
- Demonstrable knowledge of using AI in a professional engineering environment.
- Interest or experience in the financial industry or wealth management in particular.
