KoBold Metals logo

KoBold Metals is a scientific mineral exploration and development company focused on critical minerals. The company combines artificial intelligence (AI) and human expertise to accelerate the discovery of essential materials needed for the future economy.

Founded in 2018, KoBold aims to transform mineral exploration into a repeatable science by integrating novel sensors, advanced data systems, and predictive models. The company addresses the declining efficiency in mineral discovery by modernizing data collection, storage, analysis, and decision-making processes.

KoBold’s first major discovery is the Mingomba copper deposit in Zambia, one of the best copper deposits ever found. The company operates globally with projects in Zambia, Québec, and Finland, and is committed to ethical principles including safety, anti-corruption, community support, environmental protection, and integrity.
