Responsibilities
- Manage the completion of monthly and quarterly financial closing activities for the India exchange, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance assessments, and financial statement preparation for both consolidated audits and local legal reporting.
- Maintain separate sets of accounting records under Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and US GAAP, ensuring all differences are documented, reconciled, and supported by appropriate evidence.
- Coordinate with teams across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and Source-to-Pay to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely regulatory submissions, and correct intercompany settlements in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in managing the liquidity and protection of customer funds for the India entity, working closely with Treasury and overseeing associated reconciliation workflows.
- Develop and refine accounting systems, controls, and procedures by contributing to system integrations, automation projects, and vendor changes to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Review work performed by junior staff, provide guidance and mentorship, and ensure all accounting processes are thoroughly documented and current.
