At Served With Honor, a company dedicated to serving the veteran community, we are hiring a Sr. Web Developer to own our entire website lifecycle. You will be responsible for architecting, coding, launching, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of web properties, turning loose ideas into robust, secure, and scalable sites.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements, project plans, and timelines.
Architect and build full websites from scratch, including front-end layouts, back-end logic, and database structures.
Work closely with other engineers, designers, and leadership to build, test, and deploy new features and products.
Develop responsive, mobile-first interfaces that meet accessibility and cross-browser standards.
Optimize page load speed, SEO fundamentals, and overall site performance.
Implement and monitor security and data protection best practices.
Manage release pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
Track site health via analytics and uptime tools; troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Update and maintain existing client WordPress websites (plugins, core files, and resolving errors).
Implement on-site SEO tasks directed by the internal SEO team.
Work with the marketing team to update and deploy website updates to client sites.
Increase site speed to meet SEO requirements.
Implement thorough security hardening, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on web-development experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Public portfolio/GitHub showcasing responsive, production-ready sites and clean, well-documented code.
Extensive expertise with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
Strong back-end skills building REST APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
Experience taking website designs in Figma into custom WordPress websites.
Consistently optimizes performance, Core Web Vitals, and on-page SEO factors.
Conducts rigorous quality assurance testing before deploying changes.
Communicates technical choices clearly to designers, marketers, and leadership.
Diagnoses and resolves cross-browser compatibility and rendering issues.
Self-driven owner who guides projects from concept through launch and upkeep.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across design, development, and marketing teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with WordPress, .Net and exposure or direct development in React.
Strong understanding of UI/UX.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000
