Responsibilities
- Create detailed architecture plans and contribute to functional requirements and technical design documentation for storage projects.
- Estimate timelines for development and delivery to guide project planning and execution.
- Offer expert technical and business guidance in designing and deploying storage systems within the organization.
- Lead analytical efforts to address specific storage challenges and align solutions with business goals.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to identify and deploy optimal storage solutions.
- Formulate strategic recommendations and lead the implementation of storage technologies, including producing technical design documents.
- Deliver advanced technical support in complex data storage environments, evaluating risks and impacts of new technologies and resolving issues independently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate hardware and software problems involving storage technologies such as SCSI, ESCON, Fibre Channel, and Enterprise Flash Drives.
- Design, test, document, and deploy storage systems that ensure continuous data availability, integrity, and protection.
- Establish and manage standards and operational procedures for storage systems and large-scale operating environments.
- Partner with Fujitsu team members to align storage standards with broader technology ecosystems and ensure long-term supportability.
- Stay current with advancements in storage technology and assess how emerging trends can benefit the company’s infrastructure.
- Evaluate existing hardware, software, certifications, performance metrics, and configurations to maintain high service quality across performance, security, and administration.
- Define and document architectural protocols and functional specifications for storage components.
- Coordinate technical projects across multiple platforms and departments to ensure compliance with established storage standards and policies.
- Act as the highest level of technical support for storage systems and large server environments.
- Serve as the primary liaison with storage hardware vendors, managing support escalations and coordination.
