Responsibilities
- Create architecture blueprints, support functional requirements, and contribute to technical planning for projects and initiatives.
- Estimate time and resources needed for development and delivery to guide project execution.
- Offer expert guidance in designing and deploying storage systems within the organization's IT environment.
- Lead technical or business analysis to address specific storage goals aligned with organizational needs.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and internal teams to identify optimal solutions for business demands.
- Formulate technical recommendations, lead storage technology implementation, and produce logical and physical design documentation.
- Deliver advanced technical support in complex data storage settings, evaluating impacts, risks, and independently resolving critical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware and software problems related to storage technologies such as SCSI, ESCON, Fibre Channel, and Enterprise Flash Drives.
- Design, test, validate, document, and deploy storage systems ensuring continuous data access, integrity, retention, and protection.
- Establish and manage standards and operational procedures for storage systems and large-scale operating systems across diverse computing environments.
- Coordinate with Fujitsu team members to align technical standards and ensure seamless integration with other technologies and supportability.
- Stay current with advancements in storage technology and assess their potential value and application to the company's infrastructure.
- Evaluate existing hardware, software, products, certifications, performance metrics, and configurations to maintain high standards in performance, availability, security, and management.
- Define and document architectural frameworks and functional specifications for storage components.
- Orchestrate engineering and development activities across multiple domains and platforms to comply with established storage standards and policies.
- Act as the highest level of technical escalation for storage systems and large server operating environments.
- Serve as the primary liaison for storage vendors, managing support requests and coordinating resolution of escalated issues.
