Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of scalable, high-performance front-end systems for web and mobile platforms that align with product goals and improve user satisfaction
- Guide engineers in adopting strong coding practices, effective design patterns, and consistent development standards
- Represent the team's technical priorities and requirements across the engineering organization
- Engage in product exploration to evaluate technical feasibility, understand user needs, shape feature development, and test concepts using prototypes and experiments
- Partner with UX and UI designers to build intuitive, user-centered interfaces that resolve usability challenges and elevate engagement
- Coordinate with backend and platform engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between frontend components and backend services
- Help define the team’s technical direction by identifying strategic front-end technologies and platform improvements that boost performance, stability, and user experience
- Decompose complex initiatives into manageable tasks to ensure clear execution and successful delivery
- Implement front-end monitoring in Datadog with real user monitoring, crash reporting, and client-side error tracking to maintain application health
- Advance engineering quality by driving improvements in development workflows, tools, and team processes
- Use performance data and user input to detect areas for enhancement and lead optimization initiatives
- Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture and development practices
- Perform code reviews and support knowledge transfer and learning within the team
- Detect performance issues such as slow rendering, large bundle sizes, or excessive mobile resource consumption, and recommend optimizations
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry advancements, and suggest innovative improvements for the platform
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and helping onboard new engineering hires
- Foster a culture of transparency and growth by offering feedback and mentorship to less experienced team members
