Responsibilities
- Design and maintain platform services, controllers, operators, and automation frameworks using Go and Python.
- Create internal tools and APIs to streamline provisioning, lifecycle management, observability, and operations of edge infrastructure.
- Develop software to automate infrastructure workflows, hardware lifecycle management, cluster operations, and fleet-wide orchestration.
- Contribute to platform architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
- Implement self-healing and autonomous operational features for platform resilience.
- Debug and optimize Linux systems across compute, storage, networking, and containerized workloads.
- Investigate performance issues related to CPU scheduling, memory, I/O, networking, filesystems, and containers.
- Analyze kernel and userspace behavior using tools like perf, eBPF, strace, tcpdump, bpftrace, and system profilers.
- Improve platform reliability through in-depth knowledge of Linux internals and OS behavior.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents involving operating systems, containers, and distributed systems.
- Architect, deploy, and manage highly available Kubernetes environments across edge and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators, controllers, CRDs, admission webhooks, and platform extensions.
- Build scalable solutions for networking, storage, security, and observability in Kubernetes environments.
- Optimize cluster performance, resource usage, and workload scheduling in resource-constrained edge settings.
- Lead Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and GitOps practices.
- Design and maintain observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and centralized logging.
- Promote operational excellence through automation, monitoring, incident response, and postmortem reviews.
- Collaborate with software, infrastructure, security, and product teams to deliver robust platform capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and advance operational maturity through automated solutions.
