Responsibilities
- Design full-stack workflow systems that integrate frontend user actions with reliable backend processing.
- Lead development and continuous improvement of the Workflow Builder across all layers of the technology stack.
- Define system architecture, data models, and API interfaces to support scalable drag-and-drop functionality for large enterprise users.
- Engage in cross-team technical planning, promoting strong engineering practices in both frontend and backend environments.
- Develop production-ready UI components using React (v18+), applying advanced state management and performance optimizations like virtualization and code-splitting.
- Extend and customize modern UI libraries (e.g., MUI, Radix UI, Shadcn/ui) to deliver a consistent and accessible (WCAG AA) interface.
- Create secure, highly available backend services and microservices operating in a multi-cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
- Build and maintain high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs focused on low latency, secure data exchange, and system reliability.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, database efficiency practices, and automated testing approaches (unit, integration, end-to-end) across the team.
- Track and enhance performance metrics across the full stack, aligning frontend Core Web Vitals with backend API efficiency and resource usage.
- Write thorough test coverage using Jest, Cypress, Playwright, and backend testing frameworks, following test-driven development principles.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers and Product Managers to turn complex workflow concepts into functional implementations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and advocacy of clean, maintainable code practices across all system layers.
- Support technical roadmap development by providing realistic effort estimates and identifying potential architectural challenges or tradeoffs.
- Promote adoption of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to improve coding speed and software quality.
- Design and assess AI-driven features in the Workflow Builder that use generative AI or agent-based logic to create meaningful customer benefits.
