Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and maintenance of backend systems supporting worldwide ticketing operations, including major events like LA28.
- Create distributed, resilient systems capable of managing extreme traffic surges during on-sale periods, often 10 to 100 times normal load.
- Guide architectural direction across service teams by evaluating trade-offs in scalability, speed, cost, and system dependability.
- Develop and refine APIs that serve both internal platforms and external partner integrations at scale.
- Evaluate system efficiency using load testing, live monitoring data, and observability platforms to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensure data integrity and system correctness under high-concurrency conditions, addressing issues like race conditions, queuing logic, and fair access.
- Formulate and deploy countermeasures against fraudulent activity, automated bots, and platform abuse during high-volume sales events.
- Lead technical reviews and shape engineering practices, influencing code quality and long-term architectural roadmaps.
- Work closely with product and business teams to define technical solutions in complex, evolving environments.
- Integrate AI-powered development tools to enhance coding speed and improve software quality.
