PayNearMe is hiring a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and manage robust, scalable infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform to support high availability and performance
• Set up and optimize Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads using Docker, following container orchestration best practices
• Create and sustain monitoring and observability systems with Datadog to provide full visibility into application and system health
• Establish, track, and uphold Service Level Objectives and Service Level Agreements to maintain consistent service reliability
• Handle production incidents, conduct root cause investigations, and apply corrective measures to prevent future issues, including participation in postmortems
• Maintain the stability of live systems by proactively identifying risks and improving system resilience
• Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Go to minimize manual operations and strengthen system dependability, while enhancing CI/CD workflows
• Improve and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to enable smooth, repeatable deployment processes
• Support long-term infrastructure planning by evaluating capacity needs and applying auto-scaling solutions where appropriate
• Enforce security standards and compliance requirements by applying industry best practices and updating policies regularly
• Collaborate with development teams to guide the design of reliable, scalable services and resolve infrastructure challenges
• Build and sustain internal tools that improve operational efficiency and system reliability
• Take part in an on-call schedule to respond to critical incidents and support incident resolution efforts
