Responsibilities
- Define and drive product requirements for software applications that run on or interact with hardware products.
- Partner closely with Software and Hardware Engineering teams to shape features, prioritize roadmaps, and deliver high-quality releases.
- Participate in hands-on testing and validation of software applications on hardware platforms, providing actionable feedback to improve quality, usability, and reliability.
- Evaluate the end-to-end consumer experience across hardware and software touchpoints, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively generate and champion ideas to enhance consumer experience using software capabilities on hardware products.
- Collaborate with host partner software teams to optimize the end-to-end user experience, ensuring seamless integration between storage hardware and host software applications.
- Identify and help resolve compatibility issues while driving improvements in performance, reliability, and usability across supported platforms.
- Translate customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, QA, marketing, and partner teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through launch and iteration.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of Product Management experience.
- Experience testing or validating software applications on hardware products.
- Solid understanding of consumer electronics; familiarity with storage products is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working at the intersection of software and hardware, with an appreciation for how the two come together to shape user experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal engineering teams and external software partners.
- Self-starter with an inquisitive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas, requirements, and trade-offs.
Nice to Have
- Experience with consumer-facing software paired with physical devices.
- Familiarity with cross-platform ecosystems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
- Exposure to performance optimization, reliability improvements, or compatibility validation.
- Passion for consumer technology and delivering polished, intuitive experiences.
