Responsibilities
- Assist in executing material requirements planning using demand forecasts, including purchase order issuance, order confirmation receipt, and monitoring vendor on-time delivery and shipment accuracy.
- Adjust purchase orders as necessary, track lead times and shipments, and escalate delivery issues promptly to meet customer inquiry deadlines; support daily delivery coordination.
- Monitor inventory levels and take action to reduce or eliminate slow-moving or non-moving stock.
- Work with cross-functional teams to clarify procurement needs and improve planning outputs such as purchase plans, shipment pre-alerts, and corrective actions.
- Track logistics expenses, particularly air freight costs; reconcile GRIR balances and apply purchase price variances.
- Lead efforts to shorten lead times for overseas component deliveries through supply chain process improvements.
- Attend project meetings, provide progress updates, identify potential material supply risks, and report them according to procedure.
