Responsibilities
- Design and build consumer devices from early concept through ongoing support within a global engineering environment
- Create and document code, mainly in C, for functional prototypes used in advanced research and final product deployment
- Work with embedded systems engineers to strengthen team capabilities and build a top-tier development group
- Evaluate product requirements and plan firmware development tasks, including coding, debugging, and testing phases
- Produce clear firmware specifications, technical documentation, and system designs such as flowcharts and inter-processor communication protocols
- Develop and carry out unit test plans, and collaborate with system test teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members to meet project goals, troubleshoot issues, and communicate progress
- Support deployed products by analyzing real-world performance data and resolving field-reported defects
- Lead and mentor less experienced engineers and technical staff
