Responsibilities
- Act as technical leader for application engineering projects and guide software delivery teams on architectural best practices
- Establish and uphold standards for software development, coding practices, design patterns, secure coding, and application architecture principles
- Lead technical reviews including design, code, and solution evaluations, and drive modernization efforts
- Coach software engineers and developers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous growth
- Build cloud-native systems using .NET, C#, React, APIs, microservices, containerization, and Azure cloud services
- Create and maintain API-first designs, event-driven systems, service-oriented architectures, and enterprise integration solutions
- Work closely with data engineering teams to deliver applications enabling analytics, automation, machine learning, and AI-driven business capabilities
- Enable integration of artificial intelligence features using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, intelligent automation, agent-based models, workflow tools, and modern interfaces
- Ensure software meets requirements for security, compliance, observability, performance, scalability, resilience, and operational reliability
- Contribute to architectural planning, application modernization strategies, platform assessments, and evaluation of emerging technologies
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, programmers, and designers during concept and development phases of software projects
- Evaluate current business systems and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Specify, create, and document business requirements, goals, deliverables, and technical specifications per project in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Design, build, document, and deploy new software applications and enhancements aligned with business and technical needs
- Support the definition of software project plans, including scope, timelines, and execution approaches
- Investigate, define, analyze, design, and meet requirements for both internal and external system users
- Propose, plan, and execute software upgrades and enhancements
- Consistently develop, translate, and code software applications according to defined specifications
- Write and update scripts to improve functionality and performance of internal software systems
- Coordinate with network administrators, systems analysts, and engineers to troubleshoot software issues
- Perform software performance testing on new and existing applications to identify bugs, optimization areas, and debugging needs
- Analyze test outcomes critically and provide targeted solutions for identified issues
- Produce performance metrics and status reports for management and team review
- Engage with third-party vendors to support deployment of new software systems and resolve integration challenges

Responsibilities

- Define, develop, and document software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
- Design, develop, document, and implement new applications and application enhancements according to business and technical requirements
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
- Research, identify, analyze, design, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
- Consistently design, write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
- Write new and modify existing programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary
- Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems
- Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
- Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process
- Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues
- Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
